I know the goal looks easy on paper, but wait ‘til you see the game board. This is the first level where the black candy jails are introduced. 9 of your 27 jellies are hidden underneath candy jails, 9 are underneath meringue blockers, while 9 are positioned below the other 18, albeit having no blockers. The difference between candy jails and meringue blockers is that candy jails cannot be cleared by combinations made adjacent to them. You really have to match the candies that are inside the candy jails. This is the only way to free said candies and in effect, clear the jellies hiding underneath. All in all, this level is a difficult one, so it would help to remember these effective tips and strategies:
1. Assess the candy jail situation before you make your first move:
Remember that you can actually reset the board without losing any lives, provided that you
haven’t made any moves yet. Take advantage of this feature by scouting first if your candy jails are easy to break free. Remember that all 27 jellies are inaccessible unless you break the first 9 jellies from candy jail, so you really have to choose a game board that would allow you to break from the candy jails within your initial moves.
2. Do not waste moves.
If possible, make moves that would clear multiple jellies, and never make ones that won’t touch
even one jelly.
3. Make and mix special candies.
Wrapped candies are exceptionally effective clearers of blockers, so try to come up with a lot of
these. If not possible, then just detonate striped candies horizontally: this combination would clear a lot of jellies instantly.
