There are four chocolate fountains and twelve chocolate frames given at the start of this level. You’d think these would be your greatest enemy, but they aren’t. You may fail to notice it at first, but there are actually two candy cannons positioned beneath the chocolate fountains on either side of the board. These spawn 15-move bombs one after the other and before you know it you’re focused on detonating bombs more than trying to get the 5 striped pairs you need to pass the level. This level is truly a pain, and getting two stars is almost impossible. The goal and target score are also barely manageable, so it’s best if you take note of the following tips and strategies for this level:
1. Stall dealing with the candy bombs for as long as you can:
This means you must consciously try keeping the game confined to the upper and middle parts of the board first because any moves made on the lower sides of the board runs the risk of setting of the candy cannons. Avoid these for as long as you can and make sure that when you detonate striped pairs they would not hit the columns/rows that would set off the avalanche of candy bombs.
2. Clear chocolates and candy bombs:
This is absolutely required but do not focus on it too much. You can try avoiding the bombs for the whole duration of the level but it could be impossible to do that. Just take on bombs and chocolates on at a time without losing focus on making striped candies.
3. Good luck with this level! It’s a really hard one; you might want to use one of your saved-up boosters, but don’t forget to replenish your arsenal by spinning the free booster wheel after you’re done.
